The Weber q grill is one of Weber’s most popular selling grills and for a good reason. These grills are not only very affordable, but they are built strong and work great anywhere. I take my Weber q grill camping with me every summer and it has yet to fail me… well except for that time I ran out of propane.
One of the things that make these grills so good I think is the cast iron grill grates. The grate gets nice and hot in about 10 minutes and you can easily sear a large stake on it and have those cool grill marks that people seem to love.
Another thing people seem to love about the Weber q grill is that it is very small and compact and even if you don’t go camping, you can use it at home and leave it on your back porch. Depending on which q grill you decide to get, you can cook a surprising amount of food on them which is great for when you have a few friends over.
These grills are powered by a small 14 oz propane tank that you can get at any hardware store, just don’t look for them in the camping section because you won’t find them there, instead try the welding section because they use the same tanks as a small torch.
You can buy an adapter from Weber that allows you to use a larger 20 LB propane tank so you don’t have to keep running back to the hardware store to get more propane, and if you are going to use your Weber q grill at home, or when you are RVing, it is highly recommended you pick up one of these adapters.
As you can see the Weber q grill is a very diverse grill and if you are thinking of buying one, you can choose from several different sizes at amazon’s website by clicking this link. Happy grilling!
